When everything is secure, you know you can take creative risks. All our systems are fully SIL3 / PLe compliant and designed to operate safely at all times. In addition, dedicated safety and fire protection systems keep audiences, crews and performers safe.
Iron Curtain
We built the first iron curtain in 1905 right here in Vienna. Since then, we've dedicated uncountable resources to improving the safety of stage performers, audiences and operators. Yet, the iron curtain remains a key piece of theatre safety. We offer iron curtains for different fire protection classes, auditorium sizes, and evacuation scenarios.

Our smoke dampers and extraction systems are fully autonomous, using weights or springs and battery systems to make sure everyone gets out safe in case of fire. During normal operations they act as ventilation systems.

Using our advanced C·A·T V5 control system, we can integrate the entire stage machinery into the central fire alarm system, resulting in a more efficient use of space and machines: fire protection devices can be used for scenic movement and stage machinery can double as fire protection equipment.
