Kulturhuset Stadsteatern

Stockholm Stadsteatern, located in the Kulturhuset, is a renowned live performance theater that was founded in 1956.

Originally housed in the Folketshus building, it was moved to its current location in 1990.

Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was commissioned as part of a renovation of the stage technology. This comprehensive modernization included the installation of new point hoists as well as the replacement of existing systems, all of which were integrated into the advanced C⋅A⋅T V5 control system. With its completion, the Stockholm City Theatre is the third location in Stockholm with C⋅A⋅T V5, alongside the Royal Dramatic Theater and the Royal Opera.

The construction phase began in May 2020 and was completed in November of the same year, which meant a remarkably short installation time of just 6 months. More than 60 axes were successfully integrated into the C⋅A⋅T V5 control system, which now offers Stockholm City Theatre state-of-the-art technological possibilities in stage production.
