Royal Dramatic Theatre

The Royal Dramatic Theatre, Sweden's national stage for spoken theater, was founded in 1788 and has been located in the Art Nouveau building on Nybroplan since 1908.

Waagner-Biro Stage Systems was awarded the contract to renovate the upper stage machinery of the 720-seat main stage. As part of this project, all new and existing equipment was integrated into the innovative C⋅A⋅T-V5 control system. The successful handover took place in July 2021.

This renovation makes the Royal Dramatic Theatre the third location in Stockholm with a C⋅A⋅T V5 control system, alongside the Royal Opera House and Stockholm City The installation was completed in a very short phase of 6-7 months, with more than 50 axes successfully integrated into the control system.
