Type of venue
The Atatürk Cultural Centre in Istanbul, the largest of its kind in Turkey since October 2021, is a remarkable cultural facility with impressive stage technology. Since the start of the project in August 2020, Waagner-Biro Stage Systems has installed the entire stage machinery for the new opera and theater, which are among the striking features of this new landmark.
The Atatürk Cultural Center Opera House has 124 drives in the upper machinery, which enable precise movement of stage sets, backdrops and other elements. It also includes 4 main podiums and 21 balancing podiums, which support the versatile use and design possibilities of the stage. The entire stage technology is controlled by the C⋅A⋅T V5 control system, which ensures efficient and precise coordination of all moving parts.
The cultural center's theater is equipped with 64 drives in the upper machinery, which enable dynamic and flexible stage design. It also has a transport podium that allows props, backdrops and other stage elements to be moved quickly and easily. The C⋅A⋅T V5 control system is also used here to ensure smooth control and coordination of the stage technology.
This extensive stage technology, including a variety of drives, platforms and the state-of-the-art control system, makes the Atatürk Cultural Center a comparable venue to other renowned theatres around the world.
